Office of the High Commissioner for Canada
9, Victoria Chambers, London, S.W
June 16 1885
Dear Mr Chesson,
I am in receipt of your letter of yesterday. I should have been glad to have attended the meeting at the Mansion House, on the 24 inst, in connection with the departure of one Rev. H.P. Chase, but a prior engagement deprives me of the pleasure of doing so. I have consented to preside at a meeting of the London Chamber of Commerce on that day.
