F.W. Chesson Esq

My dear Sir,

You will I fear think me a very troublesome correspondent but having very recently troubled you on the subject of my election as a delegate from Natal, I now wish to inform you that I leave here for London, probably in company with Mr Shepstone, in a few days expecting to reach England for the Windsor Castle. Whether in view of the action of the Cape Parliament any conference will be held has yet to be seen. Mr Robinson leaving Natal a week before us.

Yours sincerely

J.W. Akerman
