Dear Sir,

I understand that the Maori Chief, [Hori Ropita?], in writing to your Society communicated the fact that 11,559 Maoris had already joined the Blue Ribbon Army. May I beg the favor of a copy of that letter or of such portion of it as would be useful for purpose which is to read it to the members of my Society, next meeting of which is held tomorrow evening.

I am Dear Sir,

Yours faithfully

Charles Andrews
