Dear Sir,
Mr Corbett is very desirous of obtaining the exact words employed by Sir George Simpson in his evidence before the Committee, when he stated in reply (I think) to a question by Mr Kinnaird that the Company grants passages in their ships to missionaries to Hudson’s Bay, without charge. Mr Corbett is about to return to Red River and the Society with which he is connected wish to put the matter to the test by asking the Company for a free passage for him.
As you have a copy of the evidence would you kindly cast you eye over Sir George’s evidence and forward me the question and answer.

Truly yours
A.K. Isbister
