With further reference to your letters of February 13th and May 18th last, I beg to inform you that I brought the matter of Lady Wood’s bequest to the Micmac Indians of Prince Edward island before the Superintendent General of Indian Affairs, and have the pleasure to enclose for your information the reply that has been received. I shall be glad if you will return the enclosures to me at your convenience for record purposes.

Yours faithfully,
