Dear Sir,

Lady Brassey has sent a cheque for the 7 guineas and intimated that she always intended to defray the costs.

I feel more and more that Te Wheoro should try and press his case otherwise it will drop out of sight even if his stay is for months.

Yours very fondly
Fred H Spencer

Mr Geo Graham is very anxious to have a copy of the petition and I hope you have one that you can spare him as he is a person of immense influence, having been present at the Treaty of waitangi and who has the welfore of the maories at heart.

His address is
42 Tisbury Road
Hove, Brigham
