Dear Sir,

Your letter to hand.

Relative to the maori’s going to the Lord Mayor’s to lunch, as I presume with will be sometime between the hours of 2 and 4, and any day this week as far as I know will suit, so long as it is decided upon in time. What day therefore would suit the Lord Mayor? An answer as soon as possible would be very welcome as Mr Fuller, Colonial Office, has also arrangements for them. They are going out to Richmond today with Mr Fuller for a drive, lunching there. They are engaged on Thursday and Friday evenings.

I beg …
