Will you permit me to introduce to you the Rev F.H. Spencer whom I think I mentioned to you as having warmly thanked me for the faithfulness of my History of New Zealand?
He desires I believe to have an opportunity of seeing Tawhiao and his friends, and as Mr Spencer is himself a native of New Zealand it would seem very natural that Tawhaio should be glad to see one born under the Southern sky and acquainted with the Maori language.
I hope to see the Maori deputation myself on my return to London. At present I am in the country.
