Mr Chesson,

Dear Sir,

In Monday’s issue of the daily Telegraph it appears from the correspondence report that Sir G W hoped to be on his way to England by the end of October such being the case what had I better do? I had taken my passage in the Conway Castle which sails on the 25th of this month but by giving six days notice I could go any time within 12 months of the time I sailed from Natal because I took a return ticket giving me that time when I left Natal.

I am a novice as to how business will be done in my case, will you oblige me by telling me what you think on the subject.

Yours sincerely
John Mullins Jr
