Dear Sir,

I enclose two letters for your perusal. You will see that the Bishop of Bedford unfortunately is unable to attend a meeting. Still more unfortunate as he remembers having met Samuel before. The Bishop of Winchester’s letter implies I think that he would attend. I wrote to Mr Tucker after seeing you and asked him to see if the archbishop would preside and to let you know.

Samuel and Sekue are coming to stay with me today till Monday if you have anything you wish to communicate between this and then my address is

97 Fellows Road
South Hampstead NW

Their present arrangement is to go to Lambeth Palace on Monday.

Very faithfully yours
Richard O. Whitfield

F.W. Chesson, Esq
