Dear Sir,

We have heard of Moroka’s safe arrival at Cape Town. They seem to have had a very bad time in the Bay of Biscay. People on board had been very kind to them, but they do not mention Sir Hercules. They were glad to hear the ‘document’ had been forwarded, but the first thing they saw in the Cape Town paper was that the Home Government had declined to take up Samuel’s case. They wish to be remembered to all friends.

Very truly yours,
Richard O. Whitfield

F.W. Chesson Esq
