F.W. Chesson Esq

Dear Sir,

We beg to thank you for your letters of the 13th and 15th inst. and for copy of Captain McCallum’s letter to you.

We are sending you the September number of Church Missionary Intelligencer in which you will find the article to which Captain McCallum’s letter refers, and we enclose proof copy of a few paragraphs which will appear in the December No. of the same periodical.

You will learn from Rev Morris’ article what the action of the Church Miss. Society have been in its relations with Rev Duncan, and also of the conclusion arrived at by the General … and the Rev N.R. Blackett who recently visited Metlakahtla as a deputation from this society.

From the proof extracts you will know that gist of our latest information.

We are, dear Sir,
Faithfully yours
S. Turner Smith
