F.W. Chesson Esq,

My dear friend salutations to you. I received your letter of this day all what you say is quiet right. I will stop in doors in the warm … all you have said about my going out to day is quiet right and all my friend says that I must not go out. I will stop in side the house know don’t be dark for I am going back to my native tribes I hope to get better when I get where I get. Fresh air and where is it warm I have received a letter from from Lord Derby it was very good.

I remain
Yours truly friend
Wi Te Wheoro
