Mr F.W. Chesson,

Dear Sir Salutation to you. I received your letter of the 6th. I am getting little better and feel better today I shall come up to see you when I get all right. I wish you would let me know what it is about the maori land question but I will see you when I get all right Mr Ashbury is very kind to me indeed and all the people in Brighton I wish to speak to you before I go back to New Zealand about the kindness you and your friend have shown towards the maori race I have been nine days and neaver been outside. I am still under the doctor at present.

Believe me
Yours truly friend
Signed Wi Te Wheoro
